Gender-Based Violence Presentation at the Ecuadorian Consulate in New York

Presented audio-narrative and delivered short speech on the topic of gender violence.  Audio-narrative was played in a dark room while audience closed their eyes to imagine the different scenarios. It highlighted micro aggressions to illustrate how gender-based violence is constructed daily and how it can be mitigated at the social level. Inspired by the Citizen: An American Lyric, written by Claudia Rankine.

Featured in the SITE Series: a media project depicting student’s “in their element” and highlighting their work. I was invited to speak about GANAS: the organization that a group of us started during our undergrad aiming to facilitate services to the undocumented Latino population in Vermont.

Poetry Reading – “Adiós en Grand Central”

Recorded poetry reading for the IE Prize in the Humanities ceremony which took place in Madrid, Spain in September 2017. Poem read was awarded the First Prize in Poetry in Spanish.
